Elul Day 26 - Resilience

Elul Day 26 - Resilience

When I think of resilience, I think of elastic. It has the ability to stretch and return — to come back. In Jewish tradition, this is called mussar: the practice of focusing on a character trait for introspection and self-improvement.

During Elul, we reflect on the traits we've worked on and recommit to growing in them. Resilience is the thread that keeps us moving forward, even when we stumble.

When we are resilient, we:

  • Recover quickly from difficulties.
  • Become tough in a tender way.
  • Refuse to let setbacks define us.
  • Get back up and keep trying.
  • Spring back into shape — spiritually, emotionally, and relationally.

Proverbs 24:16
'For though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again, but the wicked stumble when calamity strikes.'

Today: Embrace the bounce-back. Let resilience be your quiet strength. Rise again — not because it's easy, but because God is faithful.
